Comments/Notes : This car was purchased from Jeff Torkington and Lloyd Ives who raced it in numerous events including several Targas,  and sold it when they began work on a BMW competition vehicle.  The entire vehicle has been heavily modified including much strengthening & lightening of the body.

Modifications : Performance Exhaust, lightened/stripped interior, bucket seat, modified air intake.  Other running gear still to be installed.
Comments/Notes : This vehicle was bought in mid 2003 for use when SO863 was off the road,  and was intended to replace ME8579.  After it's maiden run at Pebblebrook we've decided, at least for the short term, this is defintely our gravel car ! Four wheel drive makes all the difference.  Best of all this vehicle is in the same class as SO863 allowing us to keep up our challenge on the 1600cc-2000cc championship held by the HCMC.

Comments/Notes : Originally nicknamed 'Red Dwarf' due to its colour and size,  this was quickly changed to 'Sidewinder' after its maiden event at Taupo.  This name change was due to the cars tendancy to move sideways regardless of the drivers instruction,  we later discovered this was due to severely worn shock absorbers.  This car is currently running standard retread road tyres,  and has been for the last three events.
