Accidents Leave Competitors In Hospital

It was a rather tragic weekend (22nd and 23rd of March 2003) for  Motorsport last week.  Two accidents,  one in the Taihape Rally and another in the Prologue stage of Targa Bambina left four people injured,  at least three of whom are in hospital.

On Saturday (Taihape Rally) a horrific accident left a driver and co-driver in hospital after their car left the road. Both occupants are reported as being on life support.

A second accident on Sunday (Targa Bambina) reportedly left one competitor with broken ribs and a punctured lung.
